The more I smoke the Padrons and other brands, the more Im finding that the Padron line is a great, solid cigar yet Im finding others that I like more. I mean, I started on Padron and thought they were the best thing since flame, but the more I smoke others, Padron just seems to be an everyday cigar. Dont get me wrong, I still love them and will always have a box in my humi, but they aren't "special" to me as much now...anyone ele find this to be true?

Padron regular line is the best value everyday smoke. NOTHING can beat (IMHO) a well aged londres or 2000 maddy at that price.

the 64's are great at mid-price level but there's other stuff i'd rather smoke at that price. The 26's are hard to beat as a premium smoke, no matter the price.

That about sums it up in my book.

I've had a few lately that were just - okay. Usually the '64 and '26 maddie's when you get a good one, are some of the best smokes out there, IMO. I find them to be extremely consistent in quality! But obviously, you pay for that. I have a few 1995 Imperials maduro's that are out of this world! That's why it confuses me that people say Padron's don't age well.

Haven't had an aged one...yet...but I enjoy the hell out of the x000 line. Do they still impress me like the first few I had? Not really, but I value their consistent burn and the flavors are nice.

It's always nice to have different choices. I'd get bored smoking the same stuff day after day. (Another reason that I dislike "desert island" questions.)

But I'll always enjoy solid brands like Padron because I get a good, consistent smoke almost 100% of the time.

Dont get me wrong, they will always be a staple in my humi, but I have found that I like others just as much if not more. I think my tastes are changing a bit...who knows. Im still very new and very green at this.

i've only tried the x000 line... i think they need age for me to really appreciate them. not a big fan of that flavor profile right out of the box. we'll see.

haven't tried the expensive ones yet... i hope to one day.

I've only had the x000 and the '64. I like the x000 as a solid everyday smoke, especially the maduros, and the '64s are just awesome whether new or aged.

I haven't tried the expensive ones yet, either...just the x000 line.
Aye, there's the rub. I like the x000s maduros and have yet to try a 26 but the '64 principe maduro is one of my favorites and is leaps and bound better than a x000. Try one of the 64s or 26s and then make a decision. By the way, what is your favorite cigars so far?

Favorites so far - Don Pepin Firecracker, Illusionne f9, Tatuaje (dont know which one), perdomo Lot 23, RyJ, A. fuente (again, not sure which ones). Have some in the humi that I haven't tried yet, but among the ones that I have, these are my favs.

Its VERY solid...I guess what I was trying to say earlier, was that the Padron was my FAVORITE CIGAR. And it was until I branched out and started trying others that I thought were a little better. More expensive than Padrons as well, which makes sense. Padron is an awesome smoke and I will always smoke them, but they are slowly becoming NOT my FAVORITE cigar.

Making a judgment about the entire Padron line just based on the x000 line is like judging Mercedes Benz based on the "Smart" car.
Im not making a judgement on the whole line...Im saying the x000 is not my favorite anymore. It one OF, but not the absolute favorite.

Maybe I should just shut up now as I think I made a mess out of this.

I would love to have that problem Tig! To tell you the truth Im not that picky when it comes to my smokes, I've had a few stinkers but for the most part I've enjoyed plenty low end sticks.
