Yeah I saw that...The absolutely rediculous part of it was that the people that complained weren't even THERE...they were watching it on TV!!! How sad must your life be to call and "tattle-tail" on someone you saw on TV...

Pathetic!!!

Yep, they were most definately Liga Privada's!

"An empty box of Liga Privada #9 cigars was in Orlando Cabrera’s locker after he passed them out to teammates - and judging by the way some of them held them or smoked them it was the first cigars of their lives. And the green tint to their skin helped that assessment of their cigar-puffing experience.

The cigars, a Nigaraguan brand, cost $12 a stick or $280 for a box of 24 and they were furnished by much-pleased owner/CEO Bob Castellini. He gave one once to Cabrera and when Cabrera said how much he liked it Castellini told him, “When you win the championship I’ll give you a box.”

The best part... even though it was caught on video and on film.... the only way the Reds get fined is if a Health Inspector actually witnesses it in person!
Yup.

Doesn't make the people who called it in (the ones who couldn't possibly smell the smoke or affected by it since they were watching on TV) any less of jerks..

I just don't understand live and let live. Clearly they had no problem with the smoke, it's the same at cigar bars and B&Ms. If you're going in there, you know what the hell to expect and you probably don't mind at all.

Just another reason I head across the border when I visit B&Ms... I can run in, grab a stick and bs with everyone inside WHILE smoking, rather than having to sit outside, 15' from the door....

Thats ridiculous. Some people need to just STFU and get a life. Id pay the fines all day if I was the owner.
The max fine for a first time offense is $100/smoker.... the max fine for a 2nd offense is $500/smoker.... you think the owner of a baseball team cant afford it? :rolling: I'm sure thats the least of his concerns now that he has the NL Central Division Champs.... fans in Cincinnati are back to being ravenous about their sports teams and that boasts well for pockets ;)

I cant believe some of the comments

"I have the right to breath clean air"

:stickbeat
Right?

There was one complaining that if you don't like the country, get out. It's sad that everyone just wants to control everyone else's actions and thoughts. No more is this a free country.

Actually... a person doesn't have the right to breath clean air in any venue they choose... they have the freedom to choose a venue that contains the "clean air" they are looking for.

lol in a team locker room that none of these people will ever step foot in.

I was also surprised they were smoking liga's. Whoever bought them must know whats up. For celebrations like this people usually buy a box of fuentes or something like that.
