Actually had this discussion with the owner of our local last night.

We both agreed that the stick we just "didn't get" was the Ashton ESG.

The VSG stands on it's own...but we agreed that we both felt "robbed" with the cost of the ESG vs the delivery.

Ouch, Ive got a few of these resting. Im hoping that I fair better with them.
In fairness, I was gifted one and won the others at a decent price on a bid site.

Form me the one I didnt get was the MOW Ruination. Everytime I have one Im stoned before I hit the halfway mark. Ive finished them, but am always in fear that Im gonna lose my lunch... Toss my cookies... etc....

Ill hop on the Davidoff bandwagon, but I really dont feel that that is a palate issue. Padron Anni's fit the bill better for me, I just cant get into them at this point. I like a cigar that has some bite to it, I want to feel like Im smoking something that has some attitude behind it.

I've got a few:

LP no. 9
MOW Ruination
Cabiguan
DP Blue
RP Vintage
Ashton VSG
JDN Dark Corojo

None of these did a thing for me... Weird how that is with different smokes. For instance, I saw the
Air Bender mentioned. It is a favorite of mine, but I have talked to several people who don't like it at all.

i have a hard time getting all fired up about almost any Tatuaje. they are good cigars, but not what i look for. if given one, ill smoke it and enjoy it but i usually find myself reaching for other cigars.

im not too big on the cain cigars, or anything by RP save a few blends but they arent worth the coin IMHO

I thought the La Flor Dominicana DL Chisel wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. The Coronado by La Flor on the other hand is something I rather enjoy.

Never been a huge fan of Cabaiguans either. The regular Chateau Fuente line has never impressed me, though everything else (Hemingway, Opus, etc) has been fantastic. Also PDR Seleccion has left me wanting most times I've smoked them.

I would have agreed. But I put the box away that I got from the OR. Just smoked it recently and liked it a lot better.

Well.....two props for "aged La Riqueza" from folks I generally agree with...

Might just have to tuck away a few of the ones I have left and see whats-what....
