Well, I was going to smoke a Frank tomorrow but I found myself with a bit of quiet time today and decided to light it up when I knew I'd have the piece and quiet to devote to it. No guarantee that I'd have that during the Chaos of Halloween tomorrow. It was sublime. My second favorite Tatuaje all-time.

Just smoked a Liga Privada No. 9.

Beautiful construction. Burned razor-sharp, like a dream.

But man, I found it had very little flavour, at least when compared to my expectations. And also when considering the power behind it!

It was this weird case of it seeming like a full-strength cigar with medium flavour.

The flavour was very good and very pleasant, but there just wasn't much there.

Has anyone else had this experience with No. 9's?

WEIRD. The construction sounds good from what you described, but I wonder how new it is and well it was cared for. I have had some bad luck when buying sticks from a recently opened box at my B&M compared to something I bought from or traded with a BOTL that was well cared for and sat a while.

One thing that has impressed me about ALL LPs is that they are full-flavored without being harsh. Some people may not like them, but i have never heard of them being bland or innocuous like you are making the #9 sound.
