I've had the '09 Noella Reserva, and it is in my top 3 favorite smokes. I haven't had the OR, though, or the regular Noella.
As far as I know, the only difference between the three is the wrapper used.
So, my question is directed mostly to the brothers who have had all three.

Which one do you prefer? Is the '06 THAT much better than the '09? Is the regular Noella close enough that it would be better to just find some of those and not sweat debating between paying rent and bidding on Reservas? :)

Wouldn't you like to know?
That's kinda what I expect most to say. Do you think the '06 is better because of the wrapper, or just age?
OR noella reserva is possibly the best NC cigar I have ever smoked. Fantastic richness and depth of flavour I don't usually find in NC's. Not sure if it is the age or just the wrapper but an incredible cigar. Oh yeah I better go bid.

I was gifted a Noella Reserva from 06 about a month ago and it was a spectacular smoke; definitely one of my top cigars I'd smoked this year. I liked the 09's but I personally enjoy the regular Noellas a lot more, especially with some down time.

I'm going to buck the trend and say the 06 were great but I've think they have peaked.....imho. If I were to compare the 06 to the 09 fresh side to side....the 06 definitely the better of the two. At this point the 06 and 09 are equally enjoyable.

You have to remember that the wrappers used in the 06 and the 09's both being Ct Bl but not the same bunch. Its possible that the wrappers used in 06 just happened to be from an outstanding bunch. Also, looking back, remember that the 06's were the first reservas that Pete used the Ct Bl wrapper as a LE type of smoke. Its interesting that there isn't much on the Regios reservas or the SW with the Ct Bl that came out about the same time as the 09's. That being said, the 06's are smoking great now and can only get better with more time. I think they still can rest for a bit and become smoother and more complex. Compared to a regular noella, though, they are not the boom in your face spice bomb though they never were to begin with. To me, they're(the 06's) like dipping a noella into a cafe latte with milk. The 09's are like dipping one into a cafe latte with skim milk.

To answer Trein, if you can get the 09's why not get em. As for the regular brown line noellas, they're available regularly through any Tatuaje dealer so it shouldn't even be a search. As for the 06's, like any LE smoke, there was only so many made so experience it if you can but don't sweat it if you can't there are a lot of great smokes out there. G1

Glad I never had an 06 (not sure I had an 09 for that matter) because those things are selling for a ton right now! I am happy not to be tempted to buy them up when I see them offered. 30$ each?!?!? wow

Agree...although I do think the SW Maddie gets a ton of love...having read through some old treads recently that is apparent. The Regios Reserva though?? Not so much. I know there's folks who love it, myself included, but there were only 100 boxes of these released to my knowledge. Not exactly a lot to go around. Can't think of another Tat LE produced in smaller quantities off the top of my head....but there may be one....and if so, I'm sure one a youz will be kind enough to share ;).

Edit: only 100 boxes of Regios Reservas made (not 200)....unless someone has info to the contrary, and i'd love to hear if u do....just not much info out there on this release.

The 06's were an oscuro wrapper not the CBL maduro we are all used to from the newer releases.
