How many of the brothers have had the pleasure of trying it?
Thoughts on it?

I haven't, but then again I've had two opus's in my life time. Really shoulda picked some up at the B&M yesterday, but I had already dropped $80. Perhaps before I fly back home I'll s top by.

Had a opus El Scorpion maduro last summer and thought it was a delicious cigar! I had really high hopes for it and to tell you the truth it fell a bit short...but still top 5 nc for sure. If you have the opportunity I highly suggest gab and smoke!

Never had one. I did not even though they currently made them. Knew they were available in years past.

I just assumed they were part of the seasonal release. I'll have to double check and see if the B&M has them or not.

Not a regular release. Found in the collector sets and also small quantities are given to specific shops for sale. Not very common at all...but obtainable. Pricey though:)
 Thanks man. I'll keep an eye out then.

they are very good. pretty htf. easier to find the weird shapes than the regular sizes.
That's because the weird shapes use a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper like the Anejos which is regular production while the the regular sizes use a hybrid Cuban seed wrapper that according to Moki hasn't been grown since 2001.

Yep.

Most of the "real" opus maduros (ie, not the CBL) were NEVER for sale (from AF) but were given out at gifts at CFCF...
