My BIL just smoked one and told me about it. Said it was "much smoother than the T52 and uses stronger tobacco leaves, Very full bodied".

Marvin brought them into a cigar shop he was at on Monday. They are about 45 ring gauge about 6".
Damn...I'm all about this one then. Please Drew don't make this impossible to get....I'm begging you brotha!

How in the hell does one become a guinea pig for all of these blends?! There should be a sign up sheet or something. I'm sure all of BOTL would be first in line.

MF-13 is an extension of a blend that was developed at the same time as the T52. About a year ago there was an MF-4 blend... well we are up to #13 now... a whole lotta adjusting goes on.. that is the fun of blending.

And to answer the question: There are about a dozen or so test blends floating around at all times. Most are works in progress, most will never be put into regular production, but some of the best ones we share with friends and at cigar events or during Cigar Safari.

For example, I am doing a special private LP tasting for Top Shelf in March and I will be sharing not only the MF-13, but two other LP blends that no one has tried...

Kockroach and All,

This 3-cigar flight is NOT for the Dinner - this is for the small private LP Only tasting on the Thursday night before at RG's Dover store. I think it is limited to 35 people - it is very low key: cigars, espresso, chit chat...

I will be at the Anni dinner too on Friday Night and we will be sharing T52 Toros and Pre-release L40 Lanceros.

BR,

Steve

Be nice if ya'll wander out west once and a while. I am sure Albert and Arcine at Old Oaks in T.O., CA or Mitch at the Cigar King in Scottsdale would love to see you come on by.

For those interested, here is a photo of the MF-13...

I find it interesting that there is now a new label that is on (some) of these preproduction cigars...If I had to guess, I would say that the specific band (like on this one) will be for cigars handed out at events, while the more low key "Typed" band (like on the L40 so far) are still for internal testing...

I seen a lot of T52 wrapper on the new blends, but why not the Conn. Broadleaf, like on the #9? I personally like this wrapper over the T52's. Or am I just confused, lol :dunno: and they are using it.
