So I woke up this morning to find the pipes had frozen overnight :angryteet. Just great. Looks like I'm lugging a heater under the house later to try and thaw them out...do you think if I lit up a cigar under the house it'd drift up through the floor and make the house smell like cigar?? I only wonder because I'd never hear the end of it from the wife...

Dan

P.S. You damn Canucks can keep your f'ing snow and blasted sub-zero temps north of the border :grinFU:.

No Dan, if you light a cigar under your trailer it won't seep through the under carriage and into cabin. :hysterica

In all seriousness would it not be sealed or insulated in some way to prevent unwanted odors seeping into the house?

Just figured if I was going to have to be under there for a while I might as well make it a little more enjoyable. Now that I think about it...it might get a bit smokey as the ventilation is pretty well nonexistent.

Dan, get off the damn computer and get those pipes thawed!! Slacker.
 I went outside and shoveled the snow to try to get to the damn turn off for the water and can't find the blasted thing. Think we've decided to just go to the wife's family's house for a day or two til the warmer weather comes. On the plus side, I can smoke in the garage over there .

If you only smoke 1 or 2 you might be ok. If it becomes a regular thing the smoke will seep up into the house. A friend of mine has a bar set up in the basement and we would head over for super bowls and you could smell a hint of cigar in the house.

:boxing:Just like you bastards...always blaming us Canucks for anything that goes wrong. I wouldn't advise it, as yes there would be very little ventilation, but wouldn't seep into the house. As for your frozen pipes, wtf, where do you live that the water pipes are above ground and are in a position to be frozen ? At least us Canadians are smart enough to have our water lines underground where they can't freeze duh. :lookaroun

Water's running now. My boss came over with his tractor and plowed the snow so we could find the water main. Turns out that's where it was frozen at and a blow torch did the trick .
