Ok, I've come to the realization that I do NOT have a refined, sophisticate palate. After smoking a tasty H. Upmann Sir Winston, I enjoyed the flavor but I think I prefer bolder, spicier flavors.

I like the Partagas Series D #4. I remember enjoying the Montecristo #2 and plan on trying one again soon.

Any other suggestion for full bodied, spice flavored "Island" smokes (that are still in production)? Thanks.

I've heard such great reviews on certain cigars...almost across the board...like the H. Upmann Sir Winston. It's SO tasty but I guess I prefer to be "Punched" in the nose and mouth (no pun intended unless appropriate as I've not tried a Punch of any kind). :boxing:

Punch DC, Bolivar Royal Corona - best that immediately come to mind, although I'm not sure if you can get as much of a "punch in the nose" from CCs as you can from some of the mega-hype NCs.

Agree with the Romeo Cazadores and Partagas D4 recommendations. Punch Punch can be strong too.

Orange dog has a very valid point also, seems the Non Cuban sticks are stronger these days.

I agree with others above that if you are looking for full body, spice, "punch", you might have better luck with Nicaraguan cigars. That is what I turn to if looking for something with some "torque".

I 2nd the notion that Cubans are not strong, by and large, if you're talking regular Habanos SA releases. I look to Nicaragua for my strong-cigar fix!

That said, here are some CCs that many consider "full-bodied"
Bolivar Corona Extra
R&J Cazadores
Partagas SP#2 (I think they are fuller than the SD#4)
Partagas 898v (never had one, but hear they're strong)

If the P2's are stronger than the PSD4's, I may have to do a box!

I'm going to try and find a ryj cazadores though first!

You are not going to find "strength" per say as with your LFD and Nic puros, but the PSD4 has a huge depth in flavors that are very easy to taste because they are so up front.

Ok, are any of these worth giving a try based on my desire for a full bodied "Island" experience?"

H.Upman # 2 torpedo
Cohiba Pyramids
Trinidad robusto extras with pigtail
Siglo 6's
Partagas Lusitanias
Monty Sublimes
Cohiba Sublimes

If responding, let me know if you think any of these may please my palate, and then any recommendations that are not on this list would be GREATLY appreciated!
