PreLight Draw : firm resistance, flavor is mineral and sweet hay

first few puffs produce almost zero smoke, but the aroma on this cigar is great. Smells very much RA but I really can't taste anything. After rolling the cigar in my fingers and trying to loosen up some firm spots I'm starting to get a little bit of smoke out of this thing. The flavor is good, there just isn't much smoke for me to judge it by. Sweet wood with some nice tobacco notes. I just made it past the little nipple on the foot and the cigar is opening up a lot. Nice notes of dark fruit and some bitter chocolate.

Entering into the 2nd third now and its sitting right about medium bodied. You can tell this isn't the best grade of tobacco, but its definitely a similar blend to most RAs. If they still made these, I would buy them by the box full for quick smokes or yard-gars. I'm really impressed with the aroma on this thing, its definitely better than the overall flavor, even though the flavor isn't bad. Its definitely picking up in strength and getting some graham cracker notes with a hint of spice. There is still an undertone of cheapish tobacco, but the desirable flavors of this cigar still shine through.

Now I am into the final third and the cigar still has a great aroma with some muted RA flavors with a hint of stale tobacco. The cigar finished on a good note.

Very good review, thanks. I enjoy detailed tasting notes.

You say "Belvederes" of any Cuban brand and I'm in; usually they're an inexpensive, coarse-yet-accurate representation of the brand. And they're always tasty and smoke well beyond their price point.
