Been digging through the humidor for something that I haven't had in a while. Saw this peeking out and decided to fire it up.

This is a 2007 RE release. 6,000 SLB produced.

The wrapper is a nice, leathery, oily wrapper. Dark leather like brown colour, almost maduro. Very smooth to the touch. no veins to speak of.

The aromas from the wrapper is mocha, caramel. a nice sweetness to it.

The construction is first class. Very firm throughout the cigar. nice triple cap. Solid!!!!

Cold draw from the foot reveals more sweeter tones that I am used to. Reminds me of caramel popcorm. A little sweetness, a little saltiness. Some maple syrup? The draw from the foot seems to be a little firm.

The triple cap takes easily to my punch. A few cold draws reveal maple syrup, caramel, a little spice and very faint notes of earth. The draw is fairly firm. Might have to expand the surface cut to get a better draw.

Time to take this to the flame

1st third: This is a very sweet cigar. Caramel, maple syrup, a little spice and a faint touch of earth comes out in the initial draws. The draw is a little tight. Better fix that with a quick cut from my palio.

Flavours are very delicate, playful. Reminds me of a caramel machiato from Starbucks. afterfinish is fairly short. All I can taste is a caramel toffee bite sized truffle. Hints of floral notes come in and out. Very different to what I am used to, in terms of flavour proflie, from a cigar.

The burn starts a little wonky but eventually straigtens out. The smoke from this is ok. Would like to see more volume of smoke. The aroma of the smoke is very pleasant. The ash is a 'Dirty' whitish grey.

This cigar could be a good morning cigar with coffee. Light, airy, sweet and mild in strength.

2nd third
more sweetness. Not much change in this cigar, in terms of flavors. The changes seem to be in terms of degree of sweetness. Sometimes caramel popcorn. Sometimes caramal toffee truffle. Sometimes mocha caramel with a bit of earthiness. Sometimes maple syrup with floral notes. Interesting.

Burn line is gong well now. Volume of smoke continues to be consistent. Not as much as I would like it to be.

Very smooth, mellow cigar. No harshness at all. very easy to smoke. No surprises so far though.

Final third:
Some richness starting to come through. Hints of cocoa and coffee try to complement the overall sweetness of the cigar. The maple syrup flavour reminds me of a Tim Horton's maple dip donut with a coffee and one milk.

The smoothness of this cigar is impressive. Not a very complex cigar however still enjoyable.

Nice caramel popcorn flavours coming though now with a touch of earthiness. Hits of leather and floral notes come in infrequently. Would like to see more visits from leather, earth and coffee.

Final Impressions
Overall, a nice 'change of pace' cigar or a good 'morning' cigar with some coffee as you watch the sun rise and the world around you come alive. An easy, lazy summertime smoke.

Very light in terms of strength. In fact, you could say almost non existent except for a few blasts coffee, earth and leather here and there. Mostly in the last third. I would have liked to see this in the initial 2/3rds of the cigar.

Smoking this cigar makes me miss the robustness, fuller bodied cigars that I usually smoke.

Nice review. This sounds like an awesome smoke! While I enjoy strong cigars, I do love milder sticks in the morning (as long as there is plenty of flavor).

I have had a few of these and enjoyed each one.

I agree, they are on the mild side and each one was nice in its own right but I was always left wanting a bit more.

Thanks

Just not enough flavor to keep my interest- especially for what this cigar costs. The Asia Pacific PL Belicoso is more my style. Still, a very nice complex review. Thanks for posting.
