Appearance: Nice looking wrapper with a medium brown colored wrapper. No soft or hard spots on it

Pre-light- This cigar cut nicely and on the pre-light draw I could taste sweet tobacco. Draw is perfect.

Drink: Thomas Kemper Root beer

1st half: Lit this little guy up and right off the bat I get strong earthy flavors. As it burns down I can also detect some green pepper notes with a good smokey herbaly flavor. Kind of like the smell of a pizza parlor that uses a brick oven.

2nd half: The strenght has mellowed out some but is tasting great. Razor sharp burn throughout the entire cigar with a nice dark gray ash. Still getting that earthy green pepper but notice some woodsy notes in it as well. Smoked this cigar down to the nub.

Conclusion: A great aged cigar with good strength and complexity. Score 90

Cigar #2

First Half: Starts with a earthy kick and adds a little coffee. As I near the halfway point a slight spiciness come through. The draw is perfect with loads of smoke. This is one of my favorite cigars.

Last Half: Typical Partagas earthy coffee and spice. Not a lot of changes but a full flavored gem.

Pretty sure this is my cigar an 06 Party Short. I hadn't smoked any from this cab and have a feeling it will disappear quickly now

Review #2

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nice wrapper, solid no odd lumps and well rolled. This stick had a great barnyard smell, pretty intoxicating in a really disturbed way I guess. Who else but us really dig that barnyard smell? LOL!!!

Clean cut easy light. Nice mellow taste at first. Tea-like and floral but not perfume or obnoxious flora but balanced. Some distinct wood shows but again...balanced. A small amount of zip from pepper but that was the only taste I was hoping not to pop up. This is a good cigar to emphasize storing your cigars at the humidity you like, not just a blanket range. this is a cigar I would hope to store at a higher humidity range to really temper the pepper.

Finish was pretty sweet. gave it a fresh clip to get the tar/wet tobacco off the head and get a good taste of the finish.

Great cigar! Thoroughly enjoyed it, really sums up the whole blind experience...judge the cigar on it's own merits without the prejudice of knowing that marca.

Have to guess it's a PLPC, smoked a few of them but never really got into them that much.

4.3" x 42 Minuto/Tres Petit Corona

Inspection/Pre-light
This cigar feels just spongy enough, little spring when squeezed. Light mocha brown colored wrapper, some good veins with a few green "sun spots". Pre-light taste of tobacco, with a dry musty twang to it.

First Half
First retrohale produces a tingling floral note. Maybe a little prune flavor mingling on the back of my palate. Within the first half inch there are a ton of flavors, very full right off the bat. Flavors continue to develop through the first half, getting fuller.

Second Half
Deep flavors of mustiness and leather, with rich tobacco and maybe even a little bit of bitter coffee. Towards the nubbing point, picking up some cedar. Great draw and perfect burn through the entire smoke, no complaints in that department. Very enveloping tastes, very familiar to something I have smoked before. Very pleasant aftertaste.

Total burn time: 35 minutes

Great cigar! Never burnt too hot, never went bitter on me. Simple yet ample flavors, can't complain about a thing on this little guy! If I had to venture a newbie guess, I would say either a Partagas Short or an aged Montecristo. Probably wrong, but I also hit some vintage Bolivar notes as well. There's my shot in the dark!

Start time: 11:45 pm
Sat down after cleaning up from installing the back up sump pump. All is well with Casa de Fuego now.
Cigar # 2 comes is at ruffly a 40 rg and slightly under 4.5 inches.
Prelight: Firm to the touch with no soft spots. Cap looks good with a very greenish Claro (light tan) wrapper.
Cut with my palio and draw is effortless.
Pre light: Very sweet tobacco almost plum like with a hint of paper on the after draw. Already this cigar reminds me of a HDM. Only time will tell.....
1st: Well the first draw (after a nice slow light) had that sizzle I love to hear. It also produced a ton of flavor and smoke right off the bat. Honey and rich warm tobacco. Cigar is a gem to retrohale and the flavor is a mix of Cohiba sweetness, rich tobacco and paper that I would get from a Hoyo. Still a ton of smoke with a near perfect burn.
2nd: This is why I love CCs! When they are on they are EPIC. Already this cigar is making me smile. It's reminding me of a Cohiba CE from a humidor release I was able to smoke a year or so ago. Sweetness on the palate, on the sinuses and even the room aroma. Slight spice sitting on my palate between draws. EVERYTHING in this cigar pairs well with each other and dances around on the palate. Just enough bite to balance out the sweetness as well. What a terrific cigar already!
3rd: All I can say is whoever was responsible for this cigar THANK YOU! It was absolutely wonderful. Long lasting on the finish. Tons of sweetness, floral, very faint exotic spice but just enough of that bitterness to balance it out. This cigar was effortless to smoke and was a pure pleasure.
Smoke ended at 12:35 am.
Now the question we are all here for. What the heck is it?????? Well this cigar wanted to be a Cohiba so bad Imo. Who the heck knows I could be way off! All I know was it was a pleasure smoking it. In fact one of my top 5 cigars all year so far easily...... One thing that keeps me thinking its a Hoyo though is that slight tanicky/bitter/paper on the back end to balance out all that floral and honey.
I'm going to go with a HDM Le H Du Depute as my final guess.
TY to however placed this in the blind pass. It was what all other cigars strive to be imo........

SMH...I feel like a newb. I've had quite a few Party Shorts and this one really didn't feel like a short. Great cigar and really agree with #5 that when they're on, they are EPIC. Maybe the 6 years of age threw me off...who the hell has 6 y/o shorts!!!! LOL!

No kidding Rob! Those were phenominal, probably the best party short I have ever had. Kudos for the patience and righteously thankful for you giving these up for us to smoke.

This is my almost daily smoke and one that was not only stupid good but DID NOT taste like a regular short. BTW THIS CIGAR WAS SHORTER then a cab Im smoking thru right now by like a 3/16 of a inch. I thought it looked like a party right away do to that greenish wrapper that older partys have. Measured it and sure enough was off so I disqualified it right away in my mind! OK excuses over that was a phenomanol cigar and no wonder why I loved it. It my everyday smoke lol.
