I've compiled a list of shape names that I stole from descriptions of Savinelli, Peterson, and Nording, and I think it's a pretty comprehensive list.
Granted, any given pipe may fall in to multiple of these "categories." But, you can vote for as many selections as you'd like and you can change your votes as the discussions build.
Please post pictures of pipes you feel best represent some of the categories you are interested in, as well as reasoning behind your choices and why you think it would be a good pick for the group. The more discussion we have here, the more everyone's eyes might be opened to something they might not have thought about before.

As I can only have 10 items in a poll, I've split the list in to three polls. Please check out all three.
(POLL 1)(POLL 2)
If you want something added, please send me a PM. (but check out all three polls first)

After this round of polls are complete, I'll put the top ten in a final poll. The final poll results will be given to the pipe makers to give them a general feel for what the group likes, but will not be a hard & fast requirement of their design(s)
See the 2015 BOTL Pipe thread for more information.

I've really been feeling the "Prince" shape as of late. Similar shape and design as the "Author", but a bit more elegant. A longer stem for a cooler smoke, but not so long that it's hanging way out there bouncing around if you clench it. To me, the shape just feels pleasing in the hand and the bowl is a comfortable distance from the mouth.
Once you have two of something you have a collection, right?
Here's the start of my collection:

The Sav 315 Series III (top) is in my constant rotation, and I love it!
The Peder Jeppesen Ida (bottom) is an estate I picked up and need to get cleaned, but I can't wait to get it in to service!

My all-time favorite shape is the Cavalier but it is so labor-intensive that there is no way it could be made for the mid $200s

Like this $3000 gem from Hiroyuki Tokutomi:

Clint do we have a set time frame as to how long the poll will be open, to give us time to post pics before making our choices
I'm pretty sure they're set for 1 week.
You can change your votes right up to the end, though, as people might bring up points that change others' minds. And you can vote for as many styles as you'd like.

Here are my proposed shapes: No billiard of any kind (too common), no Sav 320 knockoffs (there can only be one) and no poker (since that was last year's pipe).

Also, why no Devil Anse option?
