So I placed an order for some HDM SJ's with 2016 box codes. Just got a note back saying the only boxes available are LGR MAY 18. Does anyone have experience with this box code or any 2018 rolls? I'd rather not buy something I have to let sit for a year before enjoying.

San Juan is a great cigar. Check with an LCDH and see if they have the same code and ask if you can see a picture of the quality.

I would just buy them tho, if the price is right. But I doubt the vendor you use will send pictures.

LGR is the current code for the La Corona factory. They’ve put out some high quality stuff in recent years. Honestly, I would rather have that code and date over some generic ‘16 code anyway.
