A complete newb to both BOTL and cigars...

59-years-old and an increasingly serious golf addict. (Hence the user name because of the clubs I play)

Recently interested in the world of the leaf and still looking for suggestions for mild, quality smokes with training wheels! :innocent:

I spend most of my winters in Kansas City and most of my summers on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan.

What have you tried so far for smokes? Some good old mild cigars that I smoke are CAO Gold, 5 Vegas Gold, Macanudo to name a few. Maybe try going to a local shop and ask for some cigars mild to medium to try keep a list of ones you like and don't like and go back and get more in the family.

Welcome! Here are a few mild smokes that I enjoy. Perdomo Lot 23, Don Tomas Sun Grown, Dunhill Aged Dominican, Gisper, RP Connecticut. The others listed above are really good choices also. Hoyo Dark Sumatra creep up just above mild, but they are another good choice.

La Gloria Wavell Natural is a nice creamy mild to medium at a great price point for someone that's just starting.

Give the Fuente short story a go... It's a great cigar, with awesome flavors and is pretty mild. It's a great stick for people that prefer milder cigars in my opinion.
