... for my wife today would be appreciated. She will be going under the knife in about 6 hrs to remove her gall bladder.

She's been suffering what we thought was IBS / chronic heartburn for about 6 weeks now. The meds her doctor provided were not doing much and the pain was increasing, so she went to the clinic again yesterday. After poking around, the doctor thought it might be her gall bladder. An ultrasound confirmed it was badly inflamed with at least one large stone. So she was admitted into the hospital last night.

Hopefully it can be removed laparoscopically rather than via a 6" incision. The difference in recovery time is huge ... 5 days vs 4 weeks.

Good vibes on the way!

Having it done laparoscopically is the bee's knees. I had mine out that way 3 years ago and I literally could have gone back to work the next day...

my wife had a laproscopic chole 3 weeks ago. she had it at 7 and went home by 11. sore for a few days, but amazing how quick recovery can be. anesthesia seems to be the biggest drawback as you tend to fatigue very quickly for quite a while.
