  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

A great analysis of anti-tobacco hysteria

I just skimmed over it but it seemed like he made some really good points in there. Definately an interesting read when I get some more time. Maybe I'll print it out and read it over a cigar tomorrow :smokingbo Thanks asher!

I've never (since age 9 or 10) liked being in smoke-filled rooms or rooms that smelled of stale smoke. That being said, I think this is probably the best essay in defense of smoking that I've ever seen. I had Joe Jackson's album, but never knew that he was a thinker as well.. Thanks for sharing this with us.

As to "everything is bad for you," my m-i-l sent my wife an article I haven't read yet, that shower curtains give off chemicals that are bad for you. Doesn't seem like I've had such bad results. :)

In the essay, Jackson says that tobacco is "bad" only because of the effects of smoke from burning tobacco. Then what explains the gum and tooth problems caused by chew?
