Well, some know that my daughter goes to Boise State. Her rooomate is on the tennis team, and the Women's Tennis Team at Boise State Univeristy has taken on a fundraising effort to send a 14 year olf girl on a cruise. Stephanie is a local girl, who has been stricken with a form of cancer that attacks the bones.
Here is the email that Marlena (My daughter's roommate) has sent out. I know that times are tough for some people, but the children of this country are our future. Marlena has set a goal of raising $1000, as has each of her team members, but I say lets blast that goal. Since when is a goal not meant to be broken.

I am participating in the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho's Signature Event, "Serving Up Wishes" and I need your help! Throughout the night of the event, my fellow team mates: Morgan Basil, Sonia Klamcznska, Sandy Vo and I, will be doing wild and crazy stunts to earn wish bucks from event guests. The wish bucks we earn are purchased by guests and the funds will go towards granting wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. Since I know not all of you are able to attend the event, I am asking you to consider donating to our wish child, Stephanie.
We are raising funds to help grant Stephanie's wish to GO on a Caribbean Cruise. Stephanie is a 14 year old girl who loves to listen to rap music and read books like Harry Potter. She lives in Boise, Idaho and is a Cheerleader at her school. In her spare time she enjoys photo-editing and writing poems. She is being treated with Osteosarcoma, and is counting down the days till she gets to hop aboard on a Norwegian Epic Cruise line to Atlantis in the Bahamas! And before long she will be enjoying the beautiful sun and sliding down waterslides! You can help make Stephanie's wish come true by donating today!
