Ok, so I haven't been around much lately. Heck, I haven't gotten to smoke much either. Busy as hell, but lots of other stuff to keep me occupied!:togetherl

Anyway, I was traveling around AZ last week and stopped by the Grand Canyon on my way to Page, AZ. I decided to have a smoke in spite of the "no smoking" signs all over the place. I guess they are worried about fires or something...it's been a little dry around the state with no rain in 76 days so far!

I grabbed a bottle of water and a HdM Epi #2 and headed out to find the perfect spot. I finally found it and climbed over the edge and in an almost out of control slide, managed to stop a little ways down. I settled down on a ledge under the shade of a tree for a nice, relaxing smoke. Some of you may have heard that I tend to smoke slow, but this was sooo good that I didn't want it to end. I nubbed that cigar in a mere 1 hour 40 minutes! One of the best experiences with a cigar in a looong time!

Here are a couple of pics. One of the cigar, one of the view from my ledge.

Anyway, glad to be back...good to see all of you guys...

later,

This is one damn fine country we live in ain't it. Even with all the no smoking signs, no place I'd rather be. Very nice spot you chose there brother!

wow...that must have been one for the memory books! sounds like a great smoke at an amazing spot

p.s. - glad you stopped that 'almost uncontrollable slide'...that could have been bad!

Glad to hear from you Randy! Sounds like a memorable smoke.

Man, I love The Canyon...my favorite place there is Shoshone Point on the South Rim...have to hike about a mile down an old forest service road to get there, as it's gated, but that also keeps the hordes away and the walk is through a beautiful Ponderosa Pine forest. Once there, you'll find it's one of the most peaceful places on God's earth.

Wadda view!! How did ya save the cigar? My luck, I would've dropped it or crushed it or killed myself.
Well,I had it in my mouth and was scared to scream, so I managed to hang on to it and the bottle of water...must have looked pretty funny!

A great smoke combined with one of mother nature's most beautiful sights.
It doesn't get much better ...
