...and it was on some reality show about Teen Moms? Honored, but this is a far-cry from a high point in my life.

I am thinking the $50 I make (I traded cash up-front for the session, for lower points on the backend; plus the singer had to perform my wedding ceremony for free :smokingbo) from licensing should go to some charity that is aimed at preventing teen pregnancy. How would you spend the $$?

I honestly don't even know if it has aired yet... The song-writer called me yesterday to let me know that there will be a check in the mail next quarter.

I hear what you are saying, because yes it is rad that something I did made it to TV, but... I am really kinda bummed that it is being used by a show that dramatizes the real lives' of teen-aged mothers for public spectacle. It just doesn't sit right with me.

It is the problem with the times man. This reality tv crap is making stars out of people that probably shouldn't be in the spotlight in the first place. If it is bothering you I am positive there is a charity you can donate too, but the best thing we can do is inform our kids this trend isn't the way life truly is. Only a mockery of it.

With the feelings you expressed I would agree that maybe a donation to a teen clinic would be the way to go.

Even if the song is used in a venue that you don't think is good, that doesn't mean the song itself can't be a good influence! Heck, maybe the music will help some of the viewers want to keep their lives in better order than the people in the show!
