A Thanksgiving day I'll never forget.

I can honestly say Thanksgiving day 2008 will be one I never forget. The reason for this is because while leading an interior attack team on a structure fire there was an explosion in the building. Except for being caught in some wires from the grid of the drop ceiling my team, and the team in the next store all exited the strucutre unharmed. The outcome could have been so much worse, but especially for me as my wife an EMT was on scene of the fire.

I can't speak for the rest but for me the true meaning of the day was clearer than ever. Too many times we say we are thankful but, its not told to the right people or for the right reason. I saw how truly blessed I was and that time is too short.

I hope everyone's Thanksgiving Day was filled with joy and the true meaning of the day.

Aaaaaaanyways, wow! It's great that you do that stuff, it must feel great every time you save life's too.
