Well, the wife and I got back from Jamaica at 2 am last night. so while i'm sitting here sipping on some jamaican blue mountain coffee, i'm reflecting on the list of cigars that i smoked over the week. and there were a few stood out above all the rest.

I started the week off with a 2 yr old tat black robusto. what a way to start. it was so much better than the last black cg i smoked a few months ago.

i smoked a PSP2 the next day that was very very good. loved every minute of that one and found myself comparing every other cigar that week to that cigar. i'm gonna be looking for more of those. and i believe that one was from 2006.

later than night i torched a tat la verite. that was one helluva stick. it had a very noticeable taste that was so very much like that psp2 i was already in love with. maybe it was just me, but it had that cuban twang that i've come to love.

and i finished the week off with the one i'd been waiting to smoke. the don carlos ediciion de anniversario robusto. it was every bit as good as i'd hoped and every bit as good as i'd remembered. I will be seeking more of thsoe out. i believe i owe thanks to hdroadglide (bob) for that one.

I did have one big dissappointement with all the smoking i did...that was the bolivar belicoso fino that i'd been looking forward to. it let me down. but of 12 smokes in 5 days, that was the only one that i didn't care for.

other top contenders where the tat reserva sw maddie, a casa fuente cg that was very good, padron 1926 no 2. padron 1964 churchill, padron 80th.

and a few i didn't get to...padron 45 year, anejo no 49, vegas robaina unico, monte #2. but there will always be another day for those puppies..Lord willing.

all in all, a good trip in terms of smoking.

oh, and the duty free smoke shop in the montego bay, jamaica airport was full of smokes that were clearly, CLEARLY, fakes. very dark monte #2s, siglo VIs that didn't fit in the box marked Siglo VI, stems poking out of the RyJs. bottom line, don't buy cuban cigars in jamaica.
