Alright brothers, I appreciate all the info I gathered in my looking for suggestions thread! I am about to pull the trigger on my first order of CC's containing boxes that were recommended to me and I have one final question before I place the order. I am considering getting the following boxes:

1)Partagas Serie D No.4/ 25count
2)Bolivar Belicoso Fino Cabinet of 25
3) Cohiba Behike 52 Box of 10
4)Partagas 898 Varnished Cab of 25 (or)
Partagas Lusitanias Box of 25 (or)
Bolivar Coronas Gigantes Box of 25

As you can see I am debating between the three boxes listed under number four. I am wondering which of the three choices will be better to smoke ROTT. I recently discovered the Partagas D4's and I have smoked almost an entire box of them that was from August 2013 and although they are fairly young I absolutely fell in love with their flavor profile! I am really not a patient person so I am curious which of the three boxes listed under number four will be the best choice if I am planning on smoking half the box now before putting the other half up to age for a year or two? Thanks in advance for all you guys help!!

If you like young PSD4's, I would definitely say get the 898's. Some people like them young but they will only get better with some nap time. The Lusi's definitely need a lot of time to really shine and the Boli GC's are big dogs too meaning they usually take longer as well. 898 all the way.

But instead of getting more Partagas, what about trying a different marca so you can try different kinds? Like the Ramon Allones Specially Selected, H.Upmann Conn. #1, ERDM Choix Supreme, Montecristo #2, #4 or Edmundo?

Thanks for the advice AlohaStyle! I have a box of the Ramon Allones SS and a box of Hoyo Epi 2's I got from a friend. The RASS are really Tasty and I'm picking up the Epi 2's on Saturday when I go to visit him in Houston. Are the H Upmann Conn #1's similar to the D4's? I find I enjoy the spicier full flavored profile of the D4's over the RASS. Anything you could suggest in that type of profile I should consider? I also like the milk or dark chocolate/coffee flavor profiles found in some of the Nicaraguan smokes such as the Las Calaveras or certain Liga sticks. I'd be more than happy to add a few more boxes to my order if you know of something in those flavor profiles I should try. I'll go ahead and add the Monte #4 or #2's since you are the third person to recommend them!

Stick with Bolivar and Partagas.
Based on what you described as your preferences these will suit you best. The Connie 1 is a mild to medium at best plenty of subtle flavor though. Also noticed you are looking at Behikes. If you've never had one before I would suggest sampling a single first. It's not a bad cigar, but i still wouldn't consider buying them unless they dropped to around $3.50 a stick. This is only my opinion. Smoke guys love them, some guys buy the hype. Either way it's for you to choose. Current RyJ cazzie would probably be in you wheelhouse and worth a try.

Thank you Mike and StogieNinja! I am going with the Bolivar Belicoso Fino Cab,Partagas D4 box, Partagas 898 Varnished Cab, and I am dropping the Behike 52's and adding a box of the RyJ Cazzies and a box of the H Upmann Conn. 1's! If the HU Connnies are to mild for my liking I'll use them as gifts and for bombs :) Thanks everyone!!!!!

That is quite the pickup. I've had all but the PSD4 and the Cazzie. The others on there are some of my favorites.

Enjoy!!

I've never smoked a R&J Cazzie, but I understood that they are not recommended ROTT and take many years to reach their potential.

People that like spicy and full bodied cigars definitely can/do smoke them young. I do agree they can take a long time to fully reach "potential" because they are such strong cigars, but taste is subjective.
