Aloha! Wanted to introduce myself to the gang - my name is Brandon and although not new to cigars, I'm new to this site. I've been lurking for a while to get a feel of the place and think I've found a new hang-out. I look foward to meeting some new friends and the banter back and forth about cigars.

Welcome and enjoy!

I guess I should get use to saying "aloha". The wife and I are going to Maui at the beginning of November. Any place that is cigar friendly that I should check out while I'm there?

You guys sure know how to make a guy feel welcome! I'm from Honolulu, the capital city of Hawaii on the island of Oahu. I think Oahu houses 75% of Hawaii's population making it one very crowded city. Traffic is crazy here - I'm not saying it's I405 or I110 crazy but it's getting there.

DJustice - Maui is a great island to visit. In my opinion It has the best balance by having just enough "town" stuff to have a decent night-life scene and just enough "country" stuff to provide visitors with that get-away-from-it-all feeling. As far as cigars I'd say you better pack your own stuff. I'm not from Maui but I'm not aware of any cigar shops there. Maui county (like the rest of Hawaii) has implemented no-smoking in enclosed public areas like bars, restaurants and the like. But the best place to smoke is right there on the beach. What better way to enjoy a great cigar than to walk along the beach after a nice dinner with the mrs., with the waves lapping at your feet. Find yourself a nice little spot on the sand, and in the moon light spark up that RyJ churchill (habano of course) you've been aging for a special occasion. Hope you enjoy your Maui trip!

Aloha and :welcome:

I work with quite a few guys who have moved to Utah from Hawaii. They return every year for a couple weeks to spend time with the family that stayed on the island (can't remember which one).

Howzit and welcome. I know there are a bunch of guys over in Honolulu to herf with. Jon Fia is a great one.

As for the Maui question earlier...Sir Wilfreds is still on the west side in Whaler's Village. He has a nice selection and a chair where you CAN smoke in the store.

Aloha
