First time that I have watched the show in about 2 years. Wow, some big changes.

Paulie Jr leaves, comes back, leaves again.

Vinnie has his own shop.

The amazing thing is the size of the current shop, and the size of OCC total business venture.

Its amazing what a reality TV show can do for your business.

I know that the show is not that popular anymore, and I understand that this is the last season.

I guess that it is a pretty safe bet that the OCC empire will soon burn down to the ground.

I guess I should explain myself. It seems that the whole deal was built on a TV show. Did people tune in for the bikes? or was it for the Paulie vs. Paulie show?. I think it was the fights.

Now that their faces wont be on TV, will the bikes be able to sustain the business empire that was built? I dont think so. T-shirt and toy sales down the drain. Websites, blogs, fan forums down the tubes. Advertising and personal appearance fees down the toilet. Even if there bikes were top notch, I dont see bike sales sustaining the shops and buildings that they have built.

Lets face it, these guys are all drug addicts who got lucky. I think they got a little too big for their britches.

when you see the size of their newest building and their homes, you know there are millions involved. hopefully they are not in debt for anything, because the recession is hitting them hard, especially since they are a high dollar bike. notice they are adapting a bike to sell i europe now. it is still just a niche business, and i would think only a small and talented shop would be able to stay in business. i notice they havent' said much about the painter, nub, anymore. he was really talented, as was the first painter they had. i've tried to see if vinnie and cody's business ever took off, but they only seemed to go to the smaller rallies and didn't create much buzz.

these guys just have too much building and equipment for their business. Toys and t-shirts and fees paid for all of this shit. I dont see how just building bikes can sustain those types of expenses and overhead.

and what go me going on the topic is that you see paulie sr screaming and yelling at his sons that he was responsible for building the business. he couldnt be more wrong.
the 3 stooges (paulie, paulie jr, and mike) are a 3 ring circus. It made a great reality tv show that made them all rich, but it really wasnt about the bikes, it was about them. you could have had a normal family building better bikes, but the show would have went down the drain. it was the circus act that made it a winner.

i do like the show.

I just am commenting on how it has progressed from a bunch of yahoos building bikes to a business empire. The funny thing is how big this thing grew despite the 3 BOZOS. Truth is, these guys are far from good businessmen.

Hmmmm, maybe a reality show called "American Humidor". We can set up cameras in Matts shop. That should be real exciting.

I haven't seen the show lately, but it made for some good laughs when I did watch it. Guess I need to tune in to see all the changes.

Funny I solicited Fine Living TV years ago about hosting a pilot for B&M's.
What was the answer wouldn't attract advertising sponsorship. See the left of my hand, here's the right.

Before we talk about tv making the empire, or lucky drug addicts. Keep in mind that Paul Sr. founded Orange County Ironworks, a successful metal fabrication shop long before he started building bikes.

I'll give credit to anyone who has the motivation to create a successful business.

I used to like the show until they started making it about their own drama,,,and the choppers became secondary. The fights are contrived at best,,,the 3 of them going to therapy was so transparent. I thought if they stayed with the original premise of the show they would have been better off. Now with the economy they are all driving expensive cars, living in expensive houses,,,,and that will come to a quick end when the real "reality" kicks in.

The show was good in the beginning, but then, went kinda flat. They are making some production bikes and about a half dozen dealers sell them. As long as the big houses and nice cars/trucks and their new world headquarters were paid for and not financed, they will be ok. If they were financed, im sure they are sweating bullets. Only time will tell.
