Today was the day of our Minneapolis Herf. It was supposed to be Vinny, Mickeymorris, jmvcp, and myself. Sadly, work kept vinny late so it was just the three musketeers.

Wow. Just wow.

Humbling would be an understatement.

Let's see how this went...
Mr. Morris was kind enough to pick me up on his way to Burn (the B&M).
Upon arriving at Burn, I receive the wonderful news that my credit card is denied. While I was content to just sit there and chat, Senor Morris was not having that. He paid for an Eperney and a soda.
THEN, jmvcp smacks me with this bomb:

Man down. I'm out.
But wait! There's more!
We decide to grab some food at a nearby pizza place. My card is denied a SECOND time, and once again mickeymorris picked up the tab. All the while, he and jmvcp are fighting to over whose card the hostess should take.

So I just wanted to take the time to share this extremely humbling experience with you all before these two could tell you otherwise. I would say they went above and beyond being Brothers of the Leaf... and lesson learned - always have cash for emergency moments :angerhead

Looking forward to the next one!

Sorry....that was for me. An old forum used to have a button that said "Return to Forum Without Posting". I used it when I'd type something - then reread it and then think about it and decide it'd be best if I didn't post anything at all. Most of my best posting decisions were when I chose NOT to post and 'return to forum without posting'. From time to time now, when I type a response to a post I'll think twice and delete my post - but maybe as part of some 12-step thing in my head, it is therapeutic to me to type "return...." to remind me I've made a sound decision......

just talkin to myself.....sorry
