I have used GunBroker a few times and all have been seamless. You can find some pretty amazing deals on the site, but remember that the dealer on your end will add a few for the transfer as well.

I bought a Beretta Urika II shotgun (NIB) last year from Gunbroker. I got it for $725 shipped to my local dealer. It retailed at the Beretta Store, Basspro, etc for $1000.

While it is also about shot placement, it's really a matter of preference. Owning others in both 9 MM and .40, I just like the latter for stopping power.

That said, if I came across a good deal on the 9 MM I'd be all over it.

I've used them a few times throughout the years.

Some deals were better than others.

As mentioned factor in shipping, state tax and your FFL fee into the total price.

I once snagged a NIB HK SL8-6 for $1200 shipped! That's $900 off of what most gun shops sell them for. But deals like that are few and far in-between

Used them many times, mostly excellent transactions. Just dont get swept up in the bidding thing or you can pay too much. Unless its a very rare gun there will be many more auctions on similar guns. Know your local and online prices and patients will reward you.

I haven't used them but know a few that have, no issues that I'm aware of. I have a friend that has is FFL so I buy through him.

As for the .40 having more "stopping power", then get a .45...ammo is much easier to find and typically cheaper in my experience.

9mm are great, but their ballistic energy along w/ smaller size = non-permanent cavity and deeper penetration. The larger rounds = permanent cavity (doesn't close up so more blood loss) and don't penetrate as deep do to mass/resistance.

I still carry a 9mm for convenience and concealability.
