Any need to season a tupperdor?

Have not yet decided on a humidor and have, in the meantime, purchased a decent size piece of tupperware to store my sticks. A few (admittedly dumb) questions:

1) Do I need to season the tupperware in any way? I thought this was really a way to make sure that the spanish cedar absorbed humidity and that there is no real need with plastic as plastic is probably non-absorbant. Am I correct on this point? I ordered some 65% RH beads which I was just going to dump in the tupperdor and be done with it. Will this work?

2) Should I be storing sticks within the tupperware in plastic baggies? Reasons for or against? Should the tube of RH beads be somehow separated from the sticks so that they aren't touching?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

no need to season tupperware. stick a small piece of spanish cedar in there.

no baggies needed. unless you oversaturated the beads, they will be safe to touch your cigars

helps buffer humidity, give your cigars that little bit of spanish cedar arome vs any plastic smell
