Just found out that after my year in Korea, I'll be heading to McGuire AFB in NJ. I grew up in PA, but never really spent any time in NJ. I checked out the B&M Finder, but didn't see anything in the area of NJ I'll be in. I'm a little spoiled with an abundance of places to buy and smoke here in AZ so I'm a little worried.

There are not many, I just moved from NJ to FL a year ago. But about 45 min east from where you will be is a place called Cigars Plus on RT88 in Bricktown/Pt Pleasant and there is the Corona Cigar shop In Atlantic City.

If I'm gonna drive that far, I'll just make the trip into Philly, get a cheese steak and visit Holt's

There are alot of N/E coast brothers in that area and the drive up the coast will blow you away! Fresh lobster and shrimp bro...cheap! I'm a little jealous. LOL

Hey Nic - Awesome news.

Where you are, there isn't a whole lot. Y'know, being an AFB and all, its pretty barren in that part of the state. You're a good 30-45 minutes from any decent shops. On the other hand, my "local" is 20 minutes away without traffic, so all things considered, its not that bad.

Holt's NE shop is probably only 45 minutes away - in Philly - and its fantastic. The Center City location is further and harder to get to.

As others suggested, Cigars Plus on Rt 88 in Brick. NJ isn't far, but you might also like Jersey Smokes in Jackson, NJ and Lite Em Up in Howell, NJ (which is extremely small) as they are about 10-15 minutes closer.

If you want to come up a bit, you start entering my area, but that's a good hour-plus away.

Keep in touch and we'll figure something out if you don't find something closer.

30-45 minutes, even an hour doesn't bother me too much. I'm about 45 minutes away from Cigar King here and I make that trip from time to time. Just another excuse to get out on the bike and ride (provided there isn't any white stuff on the ground...Another thing I'll have to get used to).

Welcome to NJ! I unfortunately can't help with B&Ms, I would suggest googling a bit and see what comes up. Also, when you mention riding your bike, I hope you mean Motorcycle, as NJ is not bicycle friendly at all. Hope you enjoy your stay in NJ!

Cigars Plus on 88 is great, plus there's a few shops in Freehold I believe.

One of the best I've been to is in north NJ, some lounge that I can't remember the name of so I'll have to ask my buddy who drove and goes frequently

But welcome to NJ, and thank you for your service!

edit- fellow 2-wheeler as well, watch out for those senior citizens!

Used to be a sportbike guy, but I decided to leave the speed and knee dragging on the track.
Last bike was an '09 Yamaha R6

Before that an '04 R6...before that a '94 Honda CBR F2...before that...various dirt bikes.

Almost bought the new Ducati Panigale, but decided to go Harley instead.
