I have a growing obsession with CCs. The down side is I don't feel like buying cigars I have to leave sitting for nearly year. So, I've been looking at some vintage sticks. I just wanted to know if anybody had thoughts on a couple of sticks.

Saint Luis Rey - Regios 07
Cuaba - Generoso 07
Juan Lopez - Patricias 01
Juan Lopez - Petit Corona 08

Young (late 13and early 14) p.c.'s have been money.
Boli pcs, Monte 4s, plpcs and a few others is where I'd would put my money. Other than that off the list the JL pc's from 08.

How about the fresher Fonseca Cosacos and No.1? I know the No.1 is a Lonsdale, but they are priced like a pc. I was also eyeballing the H. Upmann Half Coronas and pcs.

i just decided to buy boxes, smoke a few and bury the rest. my way of aging sticks with out watching the clock, hopefully it works.
I'm starting with some singles or a smaller bunch of 3 -5 sticks. Boxes are not in the financial picture right now.

I was faced with the same dilemma a couple of years ago. I bit the bullet and ordered several boxes, among them a couple of boxes of RASS, which I think smoke great rott. It's just now starting to pay off, as I have several boxes past the two year stage and a couple closing in on 3yrs. The kicker is, you have to be fully vested in this hobby, meaning you have to continue to buy boxes each year. My advice, either do, or do not. Half assing it doesn't work so good with CC's. Also, keep your ears to the ground because some really great knowledge about CC's gets dropped around here. Suprise MVP, Jolietilfire, StogieNinja to name just a few,(there are lots of others). Good luck, because as they say, its a slippery slope.

I personally find that coming from Nicaraguan cigars I actually prefer alot of cc fresh. A lot of them do benefit from age but it really just depends on my mood.

I really enjoyed the JL1 from 08, haven't had one recently but the two I had in 2013 were absolutely incredible. Might have to have another sometime soon...I remember the JL PC from 08 was rather well thought of also.
