I took a trip last month to visit a friend in Woodland Park Colorado and shot a little 3gun match. It turns out the match is held at a Cowboy shooting area. It was a blast. Each round had you shooting all three guns, handgun, carbine and shotgun at multiple targets at different shooting stations. Most target were a combination of steel discs and cardboard IPSC.

Nope. Will some day though *sigh*
It hasn't caught popularity in my area. Besides, I'm not ready to shell out the cash for a dedicated 3-Gun setup in terms of equipment.
Looks like sooooo much fun though!

I have not done one yet, but I hear about them in my area all the time. It sounds like a great time. It's great that you got to do a run through in CO. Nice!

That's about par for the course. The more tacti-cool the dude(tte) looks, the farther away I want to be when he(or she) starts shooting.

Never been to a three gun shoot, I don't have a shotgun currently, but I've done a few pistol/carbine shoots at our local carbine club. Lots of fun. Wish I had more time (and money), I'd get much more involved.

Ha... I swear it's the guy that shows up with the 50 year old ratty gear that wins the match (not every time... but you get the idea). You totally nailed it... it's not all about the gear on those matches. And it's the over-caffienated (sp?), undersexed yuppie that shows up with the overpriced, unused gear that ends up looking like a tool. Funny how that goes.
