Recently opened... but I heard it's in the cruise terminal itself and the prices reflect such...
Yeah... The address is in the cruise terminal. Fortunately I'm just going to see it and maybe get a souvenir or two. Thanks for the info!

Actually going to that area in 2 weeks....will be in Cozumel, Grand Caymans and Jamaica and have been to every LCDH and cigar store in every island in the Caribbean. You're a lot further ahead if you just bring your own cigars or order them thru a Vendor..much cheaper. Ports are notorious for upcharging the Touristas as much as they can squeeze out of you and expect at least 1 1/2 times MSRP and CC's start around $20 for some of the most basic Cubans. Depending on the Cruise Ship you are on they have some really nice Cigar Lounges...I'll be on the RCCL Navigator of the Seas...really nice cigar lounge and they usually carry CC's on board...but again they aren't cheap.

I appreciate the advice. I'm taking plenty of cigars with me. I'm more just going to check it out, have a drink and smoke, and look around.

If you tell me what islands you're going to I can probably give you more info as to where I go.....St. Thomas is a pretty good island to do what you want...St. Maarten as well..we rent a small car for the day and just tour the island and have some really fun places that we stop off..have lunch and site see while I have a cigar. St. Kitts tends to be very touristy....a few good bars to stop by ....Aruba is full of places and you can just throw a stick out there and find a bar. St. Johns has some really good places but usually only accessible by ferry from St.Thomas. Cayman Islands tend to be a bit tricky as the main part is just shops...you'd have to drive out or get a taxi to take you to some good spots around the area. Jamaica has a lot of places but ensure you watch your wallet...no fanny paks...Puerto Rico is fun and it's smart to rent a car and site see.

Thanks Cigary...

So an update for everyone:

I managed to spend a little time at the LCDH in Jamaica. If you've never been to an LCDH it's worth going. If you've been to some already YMMV. As some of you have already said it is priced as you would expect an LCDH in a tourist area. For example a CoRo was $25.00 and a Partagas Aristocrat was $9.00. A down side is that it's selection appears to mainly be within the last two years. Possibly this is due to it being a new LCDH. The stock also seems fairly limited. For example they were out of CoLas, Sir Winstons, and a couple of other items I asked for. They didn't seem to have most of the Els and I saw no REs although their options there are fairly limited.

The salesman was semi-pushy. I ended up picking up 7 cigars for the remainder of the trip (Partagas Serie C No. 3 EL 2012, Partagas Salomon LCDH, Punch Punch, 2x Punch Royal Coronation w/ old band and tubo, Vegas Robaina Clasicos, and H. Upmann Magnum 50. Total $158) and he was really pushing for me to buy 10. He followed me around the humidor and anything I got near he would open up and stick it up to my nose then try to hand me one. We had a large pile of boxes by the time I finished. He did give me a couple glasses of Havana Club and threw in some butane I needed. I just didn't want 10 and being that I have so many at home there was absolutely no need for me to risk anything. Overall he was annoying but not as bad as I've probably made him sound.

Overall it was worth the trip for me (although I probably won't be back) but if you are able to visit LCDHs on a regular or even semi-regular basis this probably isn't worth your time.

We're getting ready for our cruise next Saturday....when you were in Falmouth what was the new port like...did you go anywhere else? I'm thinking about getting a scooter ( I ride motorcycles all the time and have ridden scooters in Rome...what an experience that is ) and want to explore Burwood or Trelawney...don't really want to stay in the port all day. I plan on getting some of the Green Mountain coffee as well...will bring my own cigars and maybe smuggle some of my own booze onboard with my RumRunner Flask 32 ounce.

The new port is nice although strictly geared for tourist. I saw several signs for coffee although I didn't look to see what they had. We didn't go anywhere else worth mentioning. Have fun on your cruise!

I recommend buying the 5lb bag of Jamaica Blue mountain coffee. the 5lb bag should run about $125 USD. SOOooooooooo worth it.

Don't get duped by the fakes like i did the first time i bought it. There are 3 licensed roasters...Wallenford Blue, Baron Hall estates and one other, that I can't think of the name of. Wallenford is the most popular, or at least it's the one I've always seen.

If it's not one of those, don't buy it.

In fact, I saw the Wallenford being sold at my favorite local roasters here in Ohio, it was $59/lb.

Now that I'm in to the coffee thing I am reading about the Jamaican Blue Mountain......$125...really for a 5 pound bag? I am looking at the Wallenford as well as the peaberry blend...have you tasted the Wallendord as that looks to be a bit better on the wallet.
