I just found out yesterday that is where this severe pain is coming from. Dr. has me on steroids and other meds to help me get through this. I wish I could spend more time on the forum but right now I am trying to continue working and have to do much research for some work related issues.

Yes, I had shingles and it wasn't fun. Luckily mine was not a severe case. It wasn't too painful, but some people from what I understand have ALOT of pain. Hope yours is a mild case!

I have 3 square of architectural in the back of the truck....think I have some 3 tab as well. Let me know if u run out
Nice...

My wife had them once...they put her on roids and some stress meds and they cleared up fairly quickly. She was also able to bench press a Buick...which was cool. But just keep on the meds and stay away from stress (more cigars) and they should clear up...best of luck bro!

Been there...
Not as bad as kidney stones, but I wouldn`t wish it on anyone.
Get better soon, Bro.

Brother, I know how you feel. Lower back wrapped around to you know where. I was given Vicodin for the pain. I tell you, it sucked. Managing Dominos, being on my feet all day, boss told me to take of the rest of the week.

Take care bro. Relax and smoke a good one to take your mind off of the pain.

For me it was dizziness, Migrane type headaches and I couldn't sleep enough!! After about 10 days of meds I was OK! Got a nice little scar on my forehead to remind me , however!
Hang in there!!

Thanks for all the well wishes. The pain hasn't been too bad as long as I am taking Darvoset (sp?) I think I got to the Dr. in an early stage and hopefully in a week or so I will be back to normal (what ever that is) :scratchhe

Wife had them twice, the meds do work but make sure you get in there early so they don't get bad. She was just a few days from them getting into her eye and there's no fixing that one.

De-stress! Take your meds, relax, have many cigars, etc.

By the way, I didn't see anyone else mention that this is a virus related to chicken pox.

From what I have found out, it is a dormant gene one has from the chicken pox. When you get older this gene can flair up resulting in shingles. It is a neurological virus too! I think I caught it in time as the wife says the rash is looking better on my back. Whew!

I wonder if I could get away with ordering a bunch of sticks and when the wife finds out use the excuse that it must have been a combination of the neurological disorder the the pain killers?
