Anyone feel doing a solid for a High School senior from the wrong side of the tracks?

So Nicole, my wife, is a high school teacher. All the students at her school have to pick a potential career and research it. Part of that research is that they have to interview someone from the field, and the problem is that they don't always pick a career where they know anyone already in the workforce. Nicole has a kid that needs to interview a "Computer Engineer," but this student doesn't know any... we are trying to find someone who fits the bill who could answer some of the kids questions. Let me know if you can lend a hand.

...and I am not sure what is meant by "Computer Engineer."

Ill ask some of the guys I work with

I'm actually having 3 students in for job shadowing to help out a former teacher of mine.

How long do you think interview would be?

I think it is 10 questions. It is an email-based interview, so they send you questions and you write them back. I have done it before, and it is pretty straight-forward.

Hi Sean,

I'm new to the forums (just joined yesterday), but I'd be glad to help out if I can. You may find someone here more qualified to help (I'll explain), but if not, let me know how I can help.

I went to University (aka College for you US folk ;) ) for Computer Engineering but ended up switching majors and graduating with a Computer Science degree. I've worked for about 10 years now for a 'big blue computer company', and my current position involves a lot of architecture/solution design that could fall under the realm of 'Computer Engineering'. Many people who graduate with a degree in Computer Engineering may not have a title in their place of employment as Computer Engineer. They could be Software Architects, for example.

I'm not a Computer Engineer, however I should be able to answer the interview questions if you want to send them over. If I cannot, no harm done I suppose.

Just let me know.
