A few guys here have purchased from Mark. Most of his cigars are checked for accuracy/ hx in aging before he even purchases them from a third party. He also gently raises RH over a two year time period before being available for sale to the consumer/collector. Some of his white owls from the 50s were very good a couple years back. (with cuban tobacco of course)
Edit: Just don't expect anything near a new/slightly aged (5-10) Habanos.

I have like 75ish of these from various decades I have collected over the years...while a few were good, most are absolute shite...Cool to smoke though :)

I still have a few of these, and have smoked several ... even though some have fairly muted flavors, it is amazing to see how a 50 - 70 year old (and some older) cigar can still can be a decent smoke.

Very interesting.

Do they ship discretely?
actually, as pre-embargo, this would be completely legit for the state side. unless it is in-house discretion? hiding from john law and hiding from the wifey are COMPLETELY different conversations.
LOL. I should've clarified. As a Canadian, will they put "cigars" anywhere on the package, manifest, etc? Tax implications of course.

Yeah, just cuz it's old doesn't mean it's worth buying. If it was a crappy cigar back then, it's an even crappier cigar now.

so so tempting because the price isn't outrageous ... I wonder what price says about quality?
pretty cool though.

This thread reminded me I had a few of these somewhere, and I tracked them down...I have another bag, have to find it, but this is what I found quickly...

I will say, I will not pay $65 for a 5 pack of cigars that are old. Especially ones that were crappy when they were new, they gotta be crappier now! :) I can think of a lot better cigars I'd buy for $65/5 pk.

I don't know you, Tom, but I know several people who do. If you like them, they are likely worthy. I might just grab some.
