Anyone tried the recent RASS

I was thinking of getting a box but heard the 2010's have been off. I was wondering in any of the Brothers had tried the recent stuff and had an opinion.

A lot of the recent habanos need rest time so I wouldn't be surprised if that's why you heard that.

I already have 10 BRCs that are perfect and a bunch of 08-09s that are superb. The past few years have been great for habanos.

I think 2010 RASS are good...not as good as 04's but good! the 2010 psd4's are WAY better than the 2009 IMO...Upmann #2 2010 may be the fullest bodied Upmann yet (even more robust than the mag48 le).

E-man, do you mind me asking the month of the RASS you smoked? It was the march batch that I heard bad things about.

The last several I've had were from 09. Some outstanding ones, some just very good - and all from the same box. I've heard great things about the 10s but haven't tried any yet.

I've got a March 10 box that isn't ready yet. 08s and 09s on the other hand have been great right off the bat.

I will look at the box code. Smoking a PSP 2 apr 10 (just got the box) and they are superb..floral, spice..very good.

Got a Jun10 and must say it was great rott. The best draw I have had on a cc so far. Putting them to rest for now.

Good to hear. This is the box code I was thinking of buying. I have heard from 3 different people the 3/10's were tasteless. Looks like that might be a one month problem.

These boxes continue to be consistent. There hasnt been much variation in these cigars since before '07. They are a bit one-dimensional, but otherwise the recent editions have satisfied the loyal fans.

I went through 2 boxes from '05 that were very consistent in craftsmanship and taste....Haven't had any recent production.

Tried 1 with 14 months aging from my box LRE MAY 09. Pretty good, need a bit more aging to smooth it out but overall, very good. They will be superb in 1 year, almost sure of it!

I noticed that the wrapper was very brown and red. First time i see red on the wrapper leaf. Very unique. Just unique like my Cohiba Siglo IV TBS JUN 06 brownish/golden wrapper.

I just need to try some RASS period. I haven't tried any RAs yet....but I like Boli's and Partagas and I hear these always mentioned in the same sentence. Wallet pains....
