Brothers and sisters,

With the hopes I don't jinx anything, I might be taking a promotion to Tucson in the next month or two. So I figured I'd ask here and see if anyone could recommend a decent area or a decent apartment to live in. I figured I'd do a year or two in an partment then look into buying a house if I decide I'm going stay in Tucson a few years.

Since, I've only ever stayed in hotels while I was there on details I really have no idea where to look for a decent apartment. The only area I'm familiar with is the area around the Station which is Swan Rd. and Golf links and the area around Speedway and Tanque verde. I don't really no where the good neighborhoods are, although I know to stay the hell away from South Tucson especially with what I do for a living!

What I'm looking for is something around 743 Sq. ft. or larger with A/C, washer and dryer in the unit, high speed internet access, garages and covered parking. Price really isn't an issue since I currently pay $1215 a month in San Diego for the above and looking online the same is going to be around $800-$900 in Tucson.

I've found a couple of places online but not knowing the area I'm not sure if they're worth it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I live in the far NW side (oro Valley). If you will be working in the Swan Golf Links area, I would recommend the far East side or the Foot Hills area. There are some nice complex's near the Swan and Sunrise area and your comute would only be 15 or 20 minutes each way.

Good luck with you relocation.

I have a good buddy who's a native Tusconian. Don't think he's
a BOTL but he could probably give you some good advice. I can
introduce you to him if you like.
