MASTER SHAKE
I am not very good at reviews. (That is an understatement) But this cigar deserves one.
I want to thank George for this wonderful little cigar.
I smoked this cigar to celebrate a particulary good day at work. I sold 3 in one day and it had been a while since I did that so I figured it would be a good reason to do it. I actually brought it to work with me and figured that I would smoke it on the way home since I had to go somewhere after work and was going to have a 1 hour drive home.
It was a shame to cut the little pigtail off of this firm, smooth, precision made work of art. It was great to look at and a pleasure to hold.
Cut perfectly with my trusty havana cutter. And lit up with my cigar matches from Strauss tobacco in Lexington Ky.
Pre-light draw was in word...perfect. No obstructions at all.
It lit all the way around, not missing any part. The taste was great and wow tons of rich smoke. I was sitting at my desk at work with my boss talking about the days events. He is not a cigar smoker but does appriciate the smell of a good cigar. He does not like it when I smoke lesser quality cigars in the office, he cant stand the after-smell.
This one had none of that. Just a rich smooth experience. I smoked it slow savoring each exhale. It had been a while since I smoke one this slow.
The burn was perfect and the taste kept getting better and better. Never got hot or bitter all the way down.
After it was done I just kind of looked at the nub and reflected back on a very memorable experience.
Was it the cigar? Was it the conversation? Was it the celebration?
Maybe it was a combination of all three. But whatever reason it is a cigar that I will be revisit as soon as I can.
I have one left and am going to try it in my research lab at home under more controlled conditions. (That would be my hot tub out on the back deck under the stars)
Who can spare a fiver?
