Are any of these good ROTT? Christmas gift for my father

I'm looking to get my dad some whiskey and a few CCs for Christmas. He's not much of a cigar smoker, but he does enjoy them from time to time with me and if they're CCs he is definitely going to be interested.

So here are the required characteristics:
1) Good ROTT (very important since he'll probably smoke them on christmas or new years)
2) In the medium range
3) Comes in a tubo (for presentation)

One vendor I've used before has the following that meet #2 and #3 and are also available in 3 packs, so which of these, if any, are good fresh?

Cohiba siglo IV
Montecristo open eagle
H. Upmann mag 50
H. Upmann mag 46
HDM Epicure no. 2
Montecristo petite edmundo

stay away from the open eagle for sure. Go with the MPE!

I'd stay away from HdM unless you can get something with age. They can (not always) be rough when young. I'd say the petit edmundos are a good choice though

+1. I would suggest the Mag 50 if you can get an '11 or earlier.

I am not a fan of the Mag 46 fresh, with the exception on the tubos version.

Using only your list, I would either choose the Monte PEs or the Cohibas.
