Article with a stereotype about cigar smokers

Saw this article this morning on my cigars news feed. Pay particular attention to what the author claims is the "typical cigar smoker". Overall the author seems to be in favor of cigars, yet I don't think he knows what a "typical cigar smoker" is.

Got me with Bourbon and smoking, that's about it. lol.. Don't qualify as middle aged and my little sedan definitely isn't a big car.

I see the stereo type that he's talking about though for sure.

Middle aged, drink plenty of booze, not a huge gut but rather rotund...and I do drive big cars.

I guess i'm more thinking of the huge variety of people that i've met in my time of being a cigar smoker. I started right at 18 years old. But he did get me correct of the bourbon drinking haha.

You'll see plenty of those kind of guys if you attend some of the Herfs. Its pretty spot on. There are plenty of younger guys too, who will eventually become those guys. hah

Well I work my ass off, drive a Tahoe, and drink Bourbon but,.... I am in shape and broke (because of the Tahoe and Bourbon....)

I am 36 big boned, brew my own beer and prefer micro brews. Love kicking back an smoking good stick alone or with my buds. Wife will try one every once and awhile.

42, chevrolet suburban x 2, heavy set but work out often (but you cant tell), o&g exploration biz, but I like RUM!!! And sometimes makers mark. And often craft brews. If I dont fit the stereotype, only your grandfather does!!!

You hit it right on the head. I started smoking cigars 5 years ago in the Army now that im out im getting a little rounder and a little older. Always been a scotch and bourbon drinker though. I guess you sort of turn into it. it is the lifestyle.
