I was in Aruba in August, 2009. Here is the link for the threads I asked the same questions about.

Great place. I ate at Texas De Brazil twice. I highly recommend it.

As for the cigars, there are two great shops there. One is in the Hotel (Crystal something) and the other is in a shooping center in the back. Both are owned by the same person. I would personally go tot he one in the hotel shopping though. You probably won't find the RE/LE cigars, since they most likely have already been sold

Also, you can get cuban rum there too!

I have been going there for 15 years. The La casa is a good store but very expensive. Nellie is the older woman who runs the store and she is a sweetheart , but be very carefull if you want to bring anything back, I have found beetles in the walk in there.

Brings back memories....Nellie is wonderful.
Being so close to the ocean, the cigars take on a more salty character. Beware, fakes abound but stick to the La Casa and you'll be fine.

BTW, eat at El Gaucho. Wonderful Argentinian steaks. After dinner you can mozy across the street to Garufa and enjoy a cigar or two.

Ive returned.. some pic's of smokes ive tried for the first time..

Aruba is a wonderful place to travel.. however there prices on CC's are thru the roof the behike 56 was $65-70.. luckily i had my travel humi stock and only had to purchase a few.. Not shown.. Mag 50, Trini short robusto T, and few misc others.. I must say that the Monti 08 sublime was top notch, followed by the Mag 50. the Behike 56 was nice, but i prefer the 52.. the Parti Salomone was aslo a wonderful smoke.. I enjoyed the Grand Edmundo but it seem to lack something,:scratchhe, However the Trini Short was absolutely great.. its just to effin short.. but im still placing a order for 2 boxes.

I was able to try all my wish list of CC except the Parti 2010 el,. all in all a great palce to visit and look forward to going there agian.. food was awesome, weather was great and I love duty free alcohol:smokingbo
