My wife and I are going to upgrade our cell phone in a couple of months.
I am looking at the Motorola Karma
Any one have any info on this or have one and can chime in.
I mostly use mine as a phone and do not have a data plan for web use.
I do text the wife often but we have a limited plan like 200 a month.

The biggest feature I want is sd memory expansion for music. I have a 2g micro sd card for mp3's

So what do you recommend for me?
Do you think this phone is going to be a good upgrade from my Nokia 6085?

My wife and I have had 3 different Motorola phones over the past 8 years and won't own another. The operating systems were cumbersome / lacking compared to other brands, the reception OK at best, and the battery life sucked.

Steve, I usually keep my cell phone until it falls apart, my last two (over a 12 year stretch) have both been Samsung and I swear by them.

Steve, the absolute best thing you can do is go to an AT&T store and fool around with the phones there.

I've done work with AT&T warranty services for the last five years... I can tell you that the manufacturers we heard from most were Motorola, Pantech, and AT&T branded devices.

For least problematic it was LG, Samsung, and Nokia,

Smart phones are another category Altogether but you mentioned using without data.

Good luck my man, get your hands on some phones though... Store, friends, family...

Thanks for all the good advice.
We got about a month till we can get free upgrades so I can check out the new phones.
the AT&T store is right next to the wifes work so we are going to stop in there and see the phones first.

I've had 15 cell phones (or more!) over the last 10 years, I'm rough on phones and if they can't hang they're going down. LOL.

I have an iPhone now and it is a very stable and solid phone. However, before the iPhone I had a Samsung Blackjack and it was rock solid, looks like the latest version of that one is just called 'The Jack'. If you're not looking for a smartphone I can recommend Samsung as avery reliable phone.

Go on Amazon and look at AT&T contract extensions on the phones available. I got a blackberry curve 8900 for a penny. Pretty good deal
