Babel ...

Rented this DVD about a week ago and finally had a chance to watch it tonight. My wife didn't really care for it after the first 30 minutes, so she went to do some errands, but I gutted it out. IMO, it actually turned out to be a good movie.

It's somewhat slow and qwirky in places but overall it reminded me of Crash ... with a global perspective. The soundtrack music was also very well put together.

Saying it reminded you of Crash *really* makes me want to see it, because I loved Crash. :yes:

From what I heard it was meant to be like Crash, and that they did a poor job of just trying to tie events together. That of course is not my opinion on it, just what a person I know said about it. I myself have not seen it. Please let me know if I have been fed bad information.

Joane and I watched Babel last weekend. We both thought that it was pretty well done. Kind of an exploration into cause/effect from bad decisions. I'd recommend it.

inarritu is a genius. if you like babel, you should go see 21 grams and amorres perros, they're awesome too.
