I beat you all May '08 :)
Well, we had the bachelor party for one of my oldest buddies yesterday. Was a blast. I only got through 4 cigars, though. Here's a rundown:
Smoked a Diamond Crown #2 on the way to rock climbing. I hated to strike it up while we were hiking around, but it was a great cigar to start with. Once we got to the cliff and a couple of the guys started climbing I was able to spend a little more time enjoying the cigar. A little on the milder side of medium, but great to start the day off with at about 1 pm.
I took a RP Sun Grown to smoke, too, but ended up boleing so I didn't have a chance to light it up. Still one of my favorite smokes, though.
At the late night festivities I started with a Padilla Obsidian. I was drinking a little white wine, and I don't really like wine, so it made the Obsidian seem a little stronger than it was.
When we pulled out the potato canons I pulled out an RP 92. Nice cigar for the occasion. It was nice to enjoy while I was moving around. It seemed like a good cigar while stuff was going on because it's not overpowering, but you know that you're smoking it. Not alot of pepper that will knock you on your butt either.
When we got to story time I pulled out my second Shark that had mold on it. I might have had too much nicotine in me at that point, but it didn't seem nearly as smooth as the first one was. I tried the Partagas 160 that I got for the groom and it seemed like more the strength I needed to go with at that point.
All in all, a great night with some pretty good cigars.
