I happened to be passing a Men's Wearhouse and stopped in. Ended up buying a no-iron all cotton dress shirt and a pair of slacks which had to be sent out for hemming. The salesman kept going on about how the shirt would never need ironing, you can wear it all day under a jacket, and it will still look great.
Washed the shirt in the evening, and whern it came out of the dryer, looked terrible - very wrinkled. I called the store the next day, and told them to not send the slacks out, and that I'd be returning the shirt. The guy on the phone was pretty snotty, and eventually hung up on me.
After work I went to the store, and he wasn't going to take the shirt back because I had washed it. I asked how I was supposed to know if it was really no-iron until I washed it. He mumbled (loudly) "well, we won't do that again".
Needless to say, I won't go back, and I made sure to e-mail corporate and told them of the experience.
Yesterday I received a phone call from Men's Wearhouse Corporate Offices, and they were very interested to hear of the experience. They're forwarding the info to both the store manager and the District Mgr. They were especially interested to hear that the 2 times I walked in to the store, the sales associates were sitting at a table, and some of them had their feet up on the table. Very unprofessional.
