  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Man after hearing all the talk up in the reviews about these I was excited to spark one up but when I did...ugh. It tasted great before I fired it up but man as soon as I did it was all down hill. Bland flavor, didn't burn all that great, tight draw, and the wrapper started to unravel a little ways in - I had to toss it.

Did I just get a freak occurrence bum cigar or is their quality control spotty? I got mine in a sampler so maybe it got messed with in the shipping but the La Herencia I had turned out great.

I've had the Blue and the Gold in this line and thought neither was very good. Tight draw, lack of smoke, an inexpensive cigar taste. A little more time in the humi helped the draw problem on the second one, and I did not have an unravel problem, but still, not a fan.

I have gone through half a bundle in 6 months. It is a yard gar for me. It's not bad, it's just boring.

Speaking of horrible cigars -- stay away from Buccanero Reds. Ugh! I had a hard time giving them away.

I was just looking at those too - I've been hunting for a cheaper cigar for smoking daily.
Don't buy them. They smell like an old, wet shoe. And they taste horrible. I literally went into work with about eight of them and said, "Grab a cigar -- FREE." The bastards wound up sassing me because they were so horrible.

A good, cheap cigar for daily smoking...?
Flor De Oliva, Perdomo Slow-Aged Lot 826, and 5 Vegas Gold.

I don't mind the Bahia Blu but yeah, it is pretty one-dimensional. The tight draw is my biggest peeve with it; like fighting to pull smoke through it sometimes. I have to agree with bigbwalls on the 5 Vegas Gold, my current favorite choice for daily smoker, although I keep seeing thumbs up for the Flor De Oliva. I suppose I should stop wondering and just order some, but the wife is starting to raise an eye to all of the packages that have been arriving as of late. ;)
