Well here it is Barrel Of Russians Imperial Stout or B.O.R.I.S. for short.

This is the beer that I named, Squatters Brewery held a contest earlier this year via f@ceb00k and many people here voted for it. The name with the most likes won and in the end I pulled thorough. It was released yesterday on the darkest day of the year, for a dark beer. It is an imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels from High West a local distillery. I have yet to try it but will be cracking a bottle or two on Christmas and I will be aging some bottles as well. Will be extra good after one year.

If anyone is interested in ordering a bottle they can email Squatters at beer@squatters.com They do ship outside of Utah. It is 10.5%

Thanks to everyone who voted, it was sweet to win this along with the other prizes that came with it.

They could use B.O.R.I.S.? There's a brewery in Ohio that uses that abbreviated name.
That is just an acronym, BORIS was never even thought of until the day of bottling. It is not on the label or anything like that. Just using it for short I suppose.

Well if each brewery doesn't know about the other using the name it can go on for a while. I know of a small brewery in Allentown that got a little cease order from Troegs brewery about the use of Rude Elf (Bethlehem), when compared to Mad Elf (Troegs). It appears they have not settled it yet because both are out with each respective name again this year.

Wasn't sure. But, wouldn't think it would be an issue unless they actually advertise it with the acronym.

More importantly....congrats on winning the contest. That is awesome!!!
