I am thinking of diving in the Lancero pool. I have only smoked a couple of this vitola but I really like the size! So hands down, which cigars are kicking ass in this vitola?

Oliva V, Illusione HL (regular, madura, or candela), big fan of Los Blancos Nine too. :)

I bet an Opus X would be delicious in that vitola too, but I've never had the chance to try one.

I agree w/ Oliva V, La Aurora 107, Opus X, and HL (maddie), but I also liked the Decade (yeah, yeah, here comes the RP haters :tongueout )

Oh yeah... these are really good...

You are one lucky sumbitch, what I wouldn't give to get my hands on some of those!

"I'm slightly biased about that one.

I'm a Lancero whore, a massive Lancero whore...
My Father No. 4
La Aurora Preferido Cameroon
La Aurora Cien Años
El Triunfador (OR)
Don Carlos
LFD Double Ligero"

Now I think I could give you a run for your money my friend when it comes to Lancero's! :cbig:

I agree with your selections and would add the following:

OR Cuvee Grand
LFD DL Cameroon Lancero
Cusano 15th Anniversary
Oliva Serie V
Nestor Miranda Special Selection
Paul Garmirian P.G. No.1
Viaje Platino Lancero

Opus X pl (little thicker than a true lance), Illusione, Tat Especiales are my top 3. I don't smoke many Lanceros, so my list is pretty short.

I'm not a huge Lancero smoker. Not because of the taste but because I'm just more of a toro size guy. Of the ones I've had and enjoy it would be...
Opus X PT
Oliva V
El Trufidor
I buy to bomb the rest

this pretty much sums up my thoughts on the vitola. just doesn't do it for me but I know a lot of other guys really like them so I tend to bomb out most of em

I have not really been a fan of the Lancero, but I did have a Illusione HL and it was pretty good. So much so that I can no longer say I don't care for Lanceros...that says something doesn't it :dunno:. I can't wait to try the HL Maduro I have resting . I hear rumors that the Candela is great also, couldn't tell you personally.

ANY line of cigars that you really like ... if they make a lancero, it's a must try. Period.

In some cases, the lancero will be far better than any other vitola (like the new El Triunfador blend or the Rocky Patel Fusion by AJ Fernandez). Other times it will be the same great flavors, just more concentrated (like the My Father).

It seems that pretty often the lancero will have less strength (i.e. over all nicotine punch) than thicker vitolas (like the Oliva V), which I assume is because there's just less room for the stronger leaves in such a skinny cigar.
