This can be about anything you have had to gerry rig to get the desired result. Open to cigars, pipes, beer cans, wine bottles, kegs,,,just about anything you can remember where necessity became the mother of invention. The funnier the better and even if it is a bit embarassing, you're among Brothers and Sisters of the Leaf,,,it's not like we haven't seen each other in some "awkward" situations?

Let the story telling begin!

I used a paper clip to open a wine bottle once. My wife fixed the toilet with a twister.

I have about a dozen stories involving duct tape--amazing stuff. I've used it to make windows (rather, seal up a hole where a window once was), sandals, and a sling for a broken arm.

Bent the tongue/shaft on the trailer once. Mainly due to a hill, a manual, and trees behind me. Dad and I took the trailer, flipped it on the side, took my SUV and rode it up the tongue/shaft to straighten it out :applause:

Popped the ferret off the clutch cable on an old Honda civic once. Me & my buddy drank 2 cases of beer to get enough opening tabs to loop over the busted end to get it onto the clutch cable so we could use the clutch again.

Two cases of beer and you were able to finish the job right after? That would have been a classic thing to film.:bigeyes:

In a State of Confusion
A long time ago 20+ years, my brothers and our girlfriends went to see a concert in St. Louis. We were driving a Datsun B-210 (yea 6 people packed in that sardine can) and the upper radiator hose blew on the way home. This was when Blue Laws were still in effect and you could not buy anything on Sunday including duct tape. We went to a grocery store and bought a can of tomato paste and stole a roll of duct tape, cut the hose cleaned out the tomato paste and put the can inbetween and taped the piss out of it. We could get about 40 miles before we would have to pull over let it cool and re-tape, we would take turns getting water from houses along the way but we made it home.

I recently ran into one of the girls on the trip and re-lived that adventure and I don't think her husband or my wife believed us, both our spouses are 6-7 years younger and they kept saying " You could find an auto parts store" damn kids couldn't remember the Blue Laws.

Classic story. We still have a Blue Law here in Ga. I still don't get it when you can load up the night before for the games on sunday. Being from California I thought they were pulling my leg when I tried to buy beer on Sunday,,actually almost got into an argument with the store owner.:stickbeat
