Many of you know about the F5 that rolled through Joplin here a few months ago. It's been a headache getting everything taken care of and has easily been the most stressful thing I've had to deal with and ever want to have to deal with. However things are looking up!! Contractor started work on the house last week and already have the porch stabilized, complete new roof put on, and should begin work on the siding and windows shortly. To add to that we found out the electric checks out okay and are on a list to have the meter reattached and hooked back up. Then today get news from the gas company that they can restore gas to the house as soon as we can schedule a time to be there when they are. Freakin' unbelievable as first they were saying November/December and then October before we'd have gas. Looks like as soon as we can get the house finished, we can move back in...shouldn't take longer than a month or two!! Swung by the house and snapped some pics of the progress as well as the neighborhood today...will post after dinner. Thanks for all of the thoughts, prayers, and other support that has been showered upon me and my family from the BOTL community these past several months. It has been a blessing!
